From 6:00 – 7:30 pm, the zócalo will be open with a number of local artisans offering a wide variety of items for sale. Musicians representing fifteen countries will be performing onstage and an open bar and appetizers will be available.
The dinner program, featuring the presentation of our Visionary and Community Champion awards to Mark Wrighton and Risa Zwerling Wrighton will run from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
At the conclusion of the awards ceremony, the zócalo will reopen for music and dancing, as well as additional shopping with the vendors.
A zócalo is a Latin American town square. Multiple vendors representing countries including Syria, Mexico, Vietnam, Greece, Kenya and India will be selling items including handmade jewelry and clothing, imported silks and other textiles, home goods, candles and other works of art. All vendors accept cash and credit cards.
Most guests attend in festive and party attire. Look below for examples of how some of our guests dressed in years past.
