Once again the Wool Ballroom at Saint Louis University will be transformed into a venue for food and music from throughout Latin America and the world .

This unique event recreates a Latin town square, known as a zócalo, featuring a dozen artisans as well as live music and entertainment, all celebrating the richness and diversity of the many immigrant cultures that have become part of the fabric of our region.

¡Zocaloco! 2019

This year we are pleased to honor Mark Wrighton with our Visionary Award celebrating his achievements as Chancellor of Washington University and recognizing his support for an inclusive and diverse St. Louis. And we will present our Community Champion Award to Risa Zwerling Wrighton for her work on mental health issues, gun violence, and disadvantaged youth, to name but a few of her passions.

The funds from the gala are used to operate our flagship services of primary clinical care, specialty care, case management for patients who need in-depth specialty care and the recently opened Mental Health Collaborative. Since Casa opened in 2010, we have delivered over 80,000 services to immigrants and refugees representing over 90 countries and residing in a 38 county area in Missouri and Illinois. This keeps our region healthy, our families stable, and supports the effort to build an inclusive and diverse St. Louis.
